In
today's changing educational environment, the integration
of technology in the classroom
has enabled educational institutions to meet demands such
as course curriculum, student expectations and limited
teaching and learning resources. Distance Learning technologies
such
as asynchronous web-based courses and synchronous, real-time
videoconferencing have exceeded those demands by providing
creative and versatile environments for the teaching and
learning process.
At Westbury Christian School, the development of Distance
Learning utilizing real-time videoconferencing technology
has been embraced as a means of primarily developing and
building relationships with Christian educational institutions
throughout the state of Texas and the entire country.
Currently, WCS utilizes a Polycom videoconferencing system
with IP connectivity. WCS makes available its videoconferencing
