Applicants must be of good moral character, be eligible to re-enroll in the school last attended and be free from learning and behavioral problems. Report cards and test scores must indicate the student’s ability to meet the high standards expected of students at Westbury Christian School.
Step 1: School Visit

Step 2: Application, Records & Fee
Submit the following to the Admissions Office:
· Online Enrollment Application with fee including a current photo of the student
· A clear copy of student’s report card for the fall semester of the current school year
· Copies of student’s end of year report cards for the previous 2 years
· Copies of student’s Achievement Test Scores for the previous 2 years (TAKS, Stanford, etc.)
· Copy of student’s up-to-date immunization record
· Recommendation Forms (Forms are on our website; must be sent directly from current school to WCS)
K3, K4, Kindergarten: From current preschool
Grades 1-5: From current primary teacher
Grades 6-12: From current English teacher and Math teacher
· For K3-1st: Copy of student’s birth certificate.
Step 3: Testing
K3 - 1st Grade: The Developmental Test (which includes a brief visit with the Principal) must indicate that the student is developmentally ready for our program. Call the Admissions Office to schedule this test. Fee is included in the Application Fee.
2nd - 4th Grade: Students are given an entrance test which includes reading comprehension and math achievement. Call the Admissions Office to schedule this test. Fee is included in the Application Fee.
5th – 12th Grade: All applicants for 5th-12th grade are required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). The ISEE is a standardized test held at sites throughout the Houston area, as well as at Westbury Christian School. You may register online at www.iseetest.org. The WCS test site code is 443459. Parents are responsible for all registration and payment ($95) to the ISEE organization.
*Note: All applicants for grades 2-12 are also required to take the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test. Call the Admissions Office to schedule this 45 minute test. Fee is included in the Application Fee.
Step 4: Shadow Visit
A Shadow Visit is required for applicants for grades 1-12. Visit can be scheduled anytime before the Principal Interview.
Applicants for grades 1-4 only shadow visit for ½ day.
Step 5: Principal Interview
All Applications and records are previewed by the Admissions Committee. Upon approval, the family is given an appointment for an interview.Both parents, as well as applicants for grades 5-12, must attend. Prior to this interview, families should review the WCS Parent-Student Handbook located on the WCS website.
Step 6: Admissions Decision
Once the Admissions Committee has determined a student’s admissions status, a letter will be sent to the parent/guardian. The student’s application will be accepted, denied or put in a wait pool. The committee’s decisions are final and it is the policy of Westbury Christian School to not discuss admission decisions with parents/guardians. Please notify WCS if your child enrolls in another institution so we can remove them from the wait pool. The wait pool will not be maintained past September 1st.
Priorities for Acceptance: The following groups receive a priority status regarding enrollment: siblings of current students, staff children, members of an area Church of Christ, children of WCS Alumni and families enrolling more than one child.
K3 and K4: Students must be 3 by 9/1 or 4 by 9/1 for admission into K3 or K4 and must be toilet trained. Students are accepted on a 6-week probation period. The Lower School Principal has the right to immediately dismiss any child that proves to not be well suited for our program. In this event, tuition will be prorated. Should a parent remove the child on their own for any reason, the parents may be responsible for the full year’s tuition.
