We are excited to announce Mr. Kenneth Starr, former federal judge and current President of Baylor University, as the commencement speaker for this year’s graduation ceremony.
Mr. Starr is a highly regarded lawyer and educator, serving not only as a federal Court of Appeals judge but also as the Solicitor General of the United States (the primary lawyer for the federal government in arguing cases before the U. S. Supreme Court) and as the Independent Counsel during the Clinton Presidency. In addition to his legal career and long years of governmental service, Mr. Starr served as a legal and public policy educator prior to becoming the 14th President of Baylor University in 2010. Mr. Starr began his undergraduate education at Harding University, and he obtained his law degree from Duke University. Upper School Principal, Dr. Lacey is excited for our seniors to have the opportunity to hear from such an accomplished leader, saying “Mr. Starr will absolutely be an outstanding graduation speaker.”
Join us, May 25 at 7:00 pm, in the WCS gymnasium as we celebrate our senior class.
