Brian Linhart, WCS Head Football Coach

WCS Announces New Head Football Coach

(June 2007) Westbury Christian School is excited to announce Mr. Brian Linhart as the head football coach for the 2007-08 school year.  According to Greg Glenn, WCS Director of Athletics, “Brian Linhart will bring a renewed focus and energy to the WCS football program.  His desire and ability to teach will serve our players well in the upcoming season.”  Glenn said Coach Linhart brings a lot of experience to the WCS football program.

Linhart started coaching football at Lutheran North High School in 1998, and moved to Mt. Carmel High School in 2002.  He played football at Sam Houston State University as a wide receiver.  Linhart said, “There is a gold mine of talent at WCS.  The talent is here and will continue to come here.  I plan to get the kids to believe in what we’re doing as a team.”  Linhart compared a team to an engine.  He said an engine has several parts that run together to make it work efficiently.  Likewise, a player on a football team has a specific position to play, and when he plays that position well, the entire team plays well.

Coach Linhart is married to Andrea, his wife of 13 years, and they have three children – Brandon (10) who Linhart proudly mentioned will be playing in the World Series Baseball in Kissimmee, Florida; Kyle (7) and Emily (5).
