Members of the Westbury Christian School Academic Team brought home a total of ten 1st-6th place individual and team medals/awards from the Needville High School UIL Invitational Academic Tournament held February 18.

Twenty-six WCS lower and middle school students placed in the top six in their respective events — including grade-appropriate art memory; dictionary skills; listening skills; maps, graphs and charts; mathematics and number sense; music memory; on-site drawing; prose interpretation; ready writing; science; spelling; storytelling; and vocabulary — at the Private Schools Interscholastic Association (PSIA) District 14 A meet held March 4 at Calvary Episcopal in Richmond.

 

Ten of the PSIA participants placed in first or second place, qualifying them to advance to the PSIA State meet to be held at TCU in Fort Worth on May 6.
