A Half-Century Shaping Future Leaders

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Preparing Your Child for Adolescence Spiritually, Mentally, and Physically

At Westbury Christian, our Middle School program serves students in grades 5 through 8, a stage we recognize as one of the most important in a child’s development. Research and experience both show that these years, spanning roughly ages 10 to 14, are filled with rapid growth, shifting maturity, and the first steps into adolescence. That’s why we intentionally set 5th and 6th graders apart, giving them a nurturing environment where they can begin exploring independence, building responsibility, and gaining confidence without the pressure of older peers.

As they progress into 7th and 8th grade, students are ready for more rigorous academics, broader elective choices, and greater leadership opportunities, all designed to prepare them for the transition into high school. Throughout these years, our teachers walk alongside students—balancing encouragement with challenge—helping them grow spiritually, mentally, and physically in ways that equip them for the future and make parents proud of their journey.
