Visual Arts
K3 - 4th grade
Primary and Elementary Students
- Students work in a variety of mediums and explore many different styles of visual art.
- Students compete in a variety of interscholastic art competitions, including TEAM (Texas Elementary Art Meet), and exhibit their art in two on-campus art shows during each school year.
5th - 8th grade
Intermediate and Middle School Students
- Students work with clay, ganache, acrylics, pastels and more to delver deeper into the principals of art that they learned in earlier grades.
- Students compete in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Bayou City Art Festival, Junior VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) and more.
- Middle school students who meet the requirements are eligible for induction into the National Junior Art Honor Society.
9th - 12th grade
High School Students
- Students continue to develop artistic talents and skills in beginning art, advanced art, photography, 3D art, textiles and/or AP Art.
- Students compete and place in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Bayou City Art Festival, VASE and more.
- Students exhibit work at the Westbury Christian All-School Art Show each March and have the opportunity to learn how to offer their pieces for sale to the public.
- High school students who meet the requirements are eligible for induction into the National Art Honor Society.
