7th - 12th grades
School-Wide Performances
- Students in grades 7-12 have the option of auditioning for and performing in a fall musical production and/or spring play as extracurricular activities.
- Past offerings have spanned a variety of genres, including classic Broadway musicals, modern comedies, Shakespeare and more.
- Students are exposed to all aspects of a fully realized production and get to work and learn alongside talented professionals who have broad experience in the greater Houston theatre community.
9th - 12th grade
High School Theatre and Theatre Tech Electives
- Students may choose to take theatre as an elective course each year. Theatre classes go into more depth on different acting styles, playwriting, directing and design.
- High school students may also choose to take Theatre Tech, a course that explores the behind-the-scenes elements of production such as lighting, sound, set design, and stage management, providing hands-on experience in technical theatre.
- Theatre students also produce a One Act Festival each winter to satisfy a performance requirement.
- High school students who meet the requirements are eligible for induction into the International Thespian Society.
