Westbury Worships on Campus

One of the most valuable blessings our students experience throughout the school year is worshipping God together. All School Chapel is a special time when the entire school gathers for a worship service led by our Head of School, Nathan Wagner. This year's chapel messages center on the 2024-25 WCS theme verse, 1 Samuel 16:7, reminding us to see as God sees.

Our lower school grades lead us in songs of worship and prayer during each All School Chapel, beginning with our fourth-grade students and continuing down to kindergarten. It’s a wonderful time of fellowship within our school community.

Lower School Praise &Worship

In Lower School this year, we began a special Praise & Worship time before lunch three days a week. Our Lower School Principal, Amanda Archer, describes the worship in Lower School as something amazing! "Most of our students love to sing, and their faces light up with joy when we sing about Jesus," she said. "Seeing the students naturally praise Jesus with their hands lifted high and their smiles wide is something we can all learn from."

"One thing that is important to us is helping students find their voices and confidence in leadership roles," said Ms. Archer. "Praise & Worship allows for a natural avenue for this leadership—we leave the front open to whoever feels called to lead that day. It might be a fourth grader with their preschool buddy who comes up to guide us in some of our movement songs by Jana Alayra. Or it might be a whole class who is 'in the zone' that day and can't help but sing lyrics like this: "Gotta believe, gotta believe, that God can do...amazing things in me and you!”
